We’re excited to welcome you to
Heirloom Springs.

If you have questions before your arrival, please read our FAQs below. Reach out if there’s something else you need to know.

  • Our retreats start at 2 p.m. on arrival day and end at 1 p.m. on the final day. We appreciate the effort our guests put into starting their experience on time.

  • Heirloom Springs is located at 1551 Wares Gap Rd, Monroe, VA 24574. You can get to us by planes, trains, and automobiles!

    Planes

Lynchburg Regional Airport (LYH) is the closest and easiest airport to fly into. It’s about a 35-minute drive to the farm. American Airlines is the only carrier at LYH.

Charlottesville Albemarle Airport (CHO) is a regional airport approximately an 80-minute drive away.

Roanoke-Blacksburg Regional Airport (ROA) is also about an 80 minute-drive away.

Richmond (RIC) is an international airport with direct flights from many cities. It’s 2.5 hours by car.

*As a travel note, allow for at least 1-hour connection time if traveling through Charlotte, NC (CLT). You’ll need it!

    Trains

You can catch an Amtrak train from many parts of the country. Lynchburg (LYH) will be your stop. We may be able to help you get to Monroe from there. Just ask!

    Automobiles

No matter which airport you fly into, you’ll need to rent a car. The drive is spectacular from every direction, but you will want to be mindful of occasional gaps in the availability of gas and cell signal. You’ll also want to watch for wildlife — ours is a rural part of the country and home to everything from deer and bears to skunks and squirrels. You’ll know you’re almost here when you reach our charming, winding, single-lane mountain road. There’s a small white sign at the top of the driveway.

  • Overnight accommodations are included in your all-inclusive retreat price. We have partnered with the lovely Elston Inn located on the 2,840-acre campus of Sweet Briar College — one of the most beautiful, women’s liberal arts colleges in the country, the Elston Inn is just a 15-minute drive from the farm. You can check out its amenities here

*On occasion we use other lodging hosts and will let you know if your retreat will have you restfully sleeping elsewhere.

  • Please check the weather in Monroe a few days in advance of your retreat. There’s a mix of shade and sun on the farm, but generally in fall and spring you can expect mild days and chilly nights. Pilates and yoga classes will be held in open air, covered spaces. We will hold the retreat rain or shine!

  • We encourage everyone to be conscious of their health before arriving at this small-group weekend. If you’re unsure if you’re sick, we encourage precautionary COVID-19 testing. Most of our activities are held outdoors or in open-air spaces. If you feel more comfortable in a mask for any reason, please don’t hesitate to wear one. We will have paper masks available on-site.

  • The opportunities are endless here in the heart of Central Virginia. In addition to activities on the farm, you could also take a scenic drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway, go kayaking on the James River, or head to Charlottesville and visit Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello.

Depending on the season, the Blue Ridge offers pristine beauty and delicious possibilities! We suggest adding a couple of days to your trip before or after your retreat to give yourself time to explore this glorious region of Virginia.

  • If your health or an emergency prevents you from attending your scheduled retreat, please reach out immediately. We will work with you to find a future date within one year of your original dates.
